About the author

Robbie Grigor was born in Inverness and educated at Loretto School, Musselburgh and Edinburgh University, where he graduated in Law. He served as a councillor and magistrate for a number of years, was a prospective parliamentary candidate in the 1997 General Election and was also the subject of a BBC documentary entitled No Way to Treat a Lady, a light-hearted look at gentleman hosts on cruise liners. He became a friend of Chic Murray's in the 1970s. He has written feature articles for national broadsheets, but this is his first full-length book.
