Publisher's yellow cloth with black cloth labelling and gilt lettering to spine. Toning to textblock edges and top edge blue sunned, ex libris stamp front paste down, writing in pencil on front board, rolling and toning to spine, small black mark on front board cover. Very good. Hans Carossa is a German novelist and poet with some of his work focusing upon Nazi era Germany. The title A Childhood has been translated from the original German title Eine Kindheit and this autobiography focuses on Carossa's early life and his relationship with the church and his faith.
