No markings, the lower portion of the leading edge of front and back covers have been abraided, resulting in a series of edge faults where the cover boards are showing through the small abrasions, pages clean, hinges strong, thus Acceptable copy in Poor dust jacket with loss of half od the frotn flap, chips to head and foot of spine and the lower portions of the flap folds worn away. Boards, illus end papers, 211pp. THe illustrations are by the author. I believe this was the third book in the series featuring Judge Dee, a 7th century magistrate working in Imperial China. (1.8 JM HOQ 101/3. 1st. Hardcover. Acceptable/Poor. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾".
