Paperback. 173p., numerous sketch illustrations, text in French, good first edition paperback in decorated wraps still enclosed in publisher's original wax-paper sur-wrap. Half title is signed and inscribed (in French) by Van Peebles. Both front and rear endpapers have heavy yellow handling grime to margins, which in the rear extends in diminishing amounts to adjacent pages and top- and fore edges. Several leaves in the textblock also bear small stains (much lighter). Fourth book and second book of fiction by the African American author.
