Orange coloured cloth covered boards with black coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Illustrated dustwrapper with white coloured titles to the front panel and green coloured titles to the back strip. Based on the author's talks that he gave through the BBC in 1942. Title says it all.  Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with a little bumping and rubbing of the book corners; some rubbing fading and faint foxing to the book edges. Light tanning of the text block edges and pages with foxing of the text block edges. Some foxing to the end pages with original bookseller's rubberstamp to the top edge of the front paste-down. Chipping of the dustwrapper corners and back strip edges. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with a few small closed tears also present. Sunning of the back strip and of the rear pane. A previous owner has started to colour in the cross on the front panel in a blue coloured ink. Foxing to the rear panel with light browning and foxing of the verso.  Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
