This anthology provides a selection of tales and writings regarding Christmas traditions and Christmas Lore. Subjects discussed include the origin of Christmas, Use of Evergreens, Use of Carols, Nativity Plys, Mumming and more. Illustrated, with eight plates. In a full cloth binding with gilt stamping to the spine. Externally, generally smart with bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of spine. Spine has faded slightly. Small patches of rubbing to spine. Front hinge is slightly strained but firm. Frontispiece is detached but present. Internally, generally firmly bound though strained in places. Pages are slightly age toned due to paper used. Light scattered spots throughout. Good
