Description

N/P: George G. Harrap & Co. No date of publication, though circa 1917. Music by Alfred Mereer. Printed by the Cheylesmore Presse in the town of Coventry, by W. W. Curtis, Ltd. Brown cloth cover with gold and duotone brown stamped decoration and lettering. Paste on paper illustration on top cover by Evelyn Paul. Decorated green and grey end leaves. Upper edge of text is gilded, and other edges remain un-cut. Eight full page colored illustrations after Evelyn Paul, as well as eight smaller color illustrations that are tipped into the text. In addition to the Evelyn Paul illustrations, the entire volume is highly decorated with illuminated initials and flourishes some duotone and several polychromatic. Corners and spine ends are lightly bumped and show very light wear. There are a couple of scuffs/scratches seen on the Evelyn Paul top cover illustration. Volume remains tight and very clean, and is otherwise intact. . Cloth - Hardcover. Very Good/No Dust Jacket. Illus. by Evelyn Paul.
