About This Item
Verona and San Francisco: Council on Spiritual Practices, printed by Martino Mardersteig at the Stamperia Valdonega, 2000. First Edition. Hardcover. fine/fine. Beautiful deluxe edition, 1/4 leather spine in glassine DJ and slipcase. Signed in the colophon per the limitation (1 of 500) and warmly inscribed by Smith to Ralph Metzner. Metzner's bookplate on the front inside blank, otherwise a flawless copy. A great psychedelic association copy! This edition printed by Martin Mardersteig at his Stamperia Valdonega. This edition is very much in the lineage (and appearance) of the great Officina Bodoni books that Mardersteig's father produced for Gordon Wasson. Printed on Magnani mould made paper, Top edge gilt, others deckled. A beautiful production, a psychedelic classic in a fine press edition.
