About the author

David Frangioni is a respected pioneer in digital audio and video technology who has written for Rolling Stone, Fortune, and EQ. He is considered one of the most prominent collectors of Clint Eastwood memorabilia with more than 10,000 items in his ever-growing collection. He lives in Miami, Florida.
Tom Schatz is the Mary Gibbs Jones Centennial Chair of the Department of Radio-Television-Film at The University of Texas at Austin and is currently the Executive Director of the University of Texas Film Institute. He has written four books about Hollywood films and filmmaking, including Hollywood Genres, The Genius of the System, and Boom and Bust: American Cinema in the 1940s. Schatz's writing on film has appeared in numerous publications, including The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Premiere, The Nation, Film Comment, Film Quarterly, and Cineaste. He lives in Austin, Texas.
