Corners very slightly bumped and rubbed, and minimal rubbing to bottom and top edges; previous owner's signature, date and a temperature reading (!) in red ink on front endpage; tape marks from dust jacket being taped down to endpages; pages are crisp, clean and tightly bound. Dust jacket shows chipping and several small tears along top and bottom edges, is a little soiled and shows tape marks. History of the era of the American Clipper Ship, 1847-1857.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. Illus. by John Martinez and maps by Veronica Laing. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
