Published to accompany the exhibition Closed Contact, Jenny Saville Glen Luchford held at the Gagosian Gallery Beverly Hills from the 12th of January to the 9th of February 20012. Accompanying essay by Katherine Dunn. Composed of a series of photographs by fashion photographer Glen Luchford of Saville's body distorted as she presses herself against a sheet of glass. The whole body is never revealed. The shots show a torso with the arms reaching out of the picture frame and the shins doubled up behind the thighs, a breast or faced pushed against glass or the hands pressing into the body. A dramatic and sometimes disturbing series of images printed on high glaze paper. Also includes brief biographies and exhibition histories of both artists.
