The quantitative foundation to the works of Lūcija Garūta, totalling almost 200, is songs with the stanzas of many Latvian poets, it is also significant that the half of the song texts were written by the composer herself.
Great constructivist cover designs created by famous Latvian avant-garde artist Niklavs Strunke (1894 – 1966), whose artworks (also in the field of book illustration) have become iconic of Latvian modernism.
