Minor shelf wear and tear to unclipped DJ protected by clear library sleeve taped to inside covers, missing front endpaper, half title and title, tape shadows, ink name and some doodles inside, long closed tear to p7-10. ; Red cloth boards with black lettering to spine. Reading copy only. DJ artwork by Paul. Undated but assumed first edition 1956.; 176 pages; Justice Colt and his partner Pee Wee Detwaller were heading home to Independence Creek, but they didn't get the welcome they expected. In their absence the town had been taken over by a corrupt combine. Colt's ranch manager, Shorty Pinn, had been outlawed by the new Sheriff and the ranch handed over to a land-grabbing banker. Soon Colt himself was outlawed on a trumped-up murder charge, but on the frontier the law was in the hands of the man with the quickest gun... .
