About This Item
London: E. Moxon, Son and Co., c1870. Leather. Very Good Indeed. 7.5" by 5". None Stated. A collection of the serious poetical works of Thomas Hood. Thomas Hood (23 May 1799 3 May 1845) was a British humorist and poet. Hood wrote humorously on many contemporary issues. One of the most important issues in his time was grave robbing and selling of corpses to anatomists (see West Port murders). Illustrated throughout with many engraved plates. Rebacked in a half-morocco binding with marbled boards. Externally smart, with just some light rubbing to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Title page is missing. Pages are slightly age-toned, with just the odd patch of foxing. Very Good Indeed
