"The statutes of Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Mangaia, Atiu, Mitiaro, and Mauke, passed by the Federal Parliament in 1899, consolidated and repealed all ancient laws made by the Councils of those Islands. The appendix contains laws in force in Rarotonga at the declaration of the British Protectorate (28th April, 188) and the laws of Rarotonga passed since the declaration and prior to the constitution of the Federal Parliament of the Cook Islands, and the old laws of Niue, as revised in 1900." CONDITION Blue bds with Gilt title (cloth slightly marked and cnrs mildly bruised, cloth unworn o/w) Lemon eps, front ffep is stamped withdrawn from History Society Library and withdrawn else no other marks. pp vi 216 with 2 maps in colour (one of which are fold out). Nice crisp copy with bright interior, slight age toning to first and last page of ordinary paper stock.. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
