London: Gall and Inglis, c1850. Leather. Good. 6.5" by 4.5". None. A lavishly illustrated poetical anthology from prolific poet William Cowper. "With Life, and Critical Notice of His Writings." Adorned with several beautifully engraved plates, a frontispiece and vignette to the title page. All with their original tissue guards. Rebound in a decorative morocco binding with gilt detailing. Externally, sound, with some light rubbing- particularly to the spine. Light straining to the front hinge. Internally, firmly bound and lightly age toned. Some instances of faint foxing, and neat copperplate ink inscriptions to the endpapers. Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
