ALFRED CHARLES RICHARD, JR. is a Professor of History at Central Connecticut State University specializing in Latin America and the Caribbean./e His current focus is on the film industry's role in shaping the North American national consciousness about our South American neighbors and the Hispanic community within these shores. The previous books that complete this filmography series are The Hispanic Image on the Silver Screen (Greenwood, 1991) and Censorship and Hollywood's Hispanic Image (Greenwood, 1992).
