London: Collins Clear-Type Press 444 pp, 16mo (6 1/8" H), thin burgundy leather over card covers/spine - gold lettering and decoration on spine, top edge gilt - in slipcase. Burgundy endpapers, sepiatone illustrations, including frontispiece, decorated title page, integral ribbon bookmark. After a shipwreck, three boys are marooned on an island in the South Pacific. They experience a 'Robinson Crusoe'-like existence - forging shelter and the necessities of life from a few salvaged items and the natural resources surrounding them, encountering native Polynesians, British pirates and Christian missionaries before returning home. Light toning to pages, tiny corner crease aon last two pages, light browning to fore-edge and bottom of text block, minor edge wear. Slipcase has light edge wear, some very light colour fading at some edges, some stains to top panel, top side joint has been repaired.. Full-Leather. Very Good. Illus. by J.E. Sutcliffe..
