First Edition/First Printing. DJ has shelf-wear present to the DJ extremities (DJ is chipped and worn to the DJ extremities; esp at the spine ends; front panel of the DJ is neatly detached from the spine and front flap is neatly detached from the front panel). Bound in cloth boards with titles present to the spine. Boards have light shelf-wear present to the extremities. No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. Set in the aftermath of war, these interconnected stories by the noted reporter on Southeast Asia and correspondent for THE NEW YORKER portray lost men tempted into various underworlds of several "forgotten corners of the Orient".
