New York: Hill and Wang, 1969. The first novel by the mysterious writer, originally written in installments and then published in German as "Der Wobbly" in 1927. Set in Mexico, it is a precursor to Traven's famous "Jungle Novels." This is a Near-Fine copy of the First American Edition. Brown cloth binding with gilt lettering on the spine; corners bumped.Clean and fresh text. The dustjacket is complete and unclipped, showing moderate wear at the edges; the spine has faded and there is some foxing, mainly to the flapsIn an archival plastic protector.
