Paris: Capelle, 1855-58., 1855. 2 Volumes. 8vo. pp. vii, 623, [1]errata; viii, 636. with half-titles. contemporary half calf (extremities rubbed). Second Edition, Revised and Considerably Enlarged. In 1841 Chevalier succeeded Rossi at the Collège de France in the chair of political economy. The lectures of the two first years, taken down in shorthand by one of his pupils, Michel Broët, form the material of the Cours, first published in 1842 and 1844. The second edition has been substantially modified and enlarged.
