London: Rivington. C. 2 Volumes. Internally good. Bound in full tan leather with four raised bands to spine. Gilt decorative borders to both boards and to spine; rose and crown motif to front board/top spine; portcullis and crown motif to rear board and to bottom spine; marbled endpapers; all edges marbled; engraved frontispiece to volume one. In overall good condition with a little rubbing to spines; Vol 1: cracking to leather to front and rear of board hinge. Vol 2: some wear to top front corner and rear board edge; spine darkened to top. down to top band. and a little loss to same with two inch split to leather at top front hinge; leather titles and vol. numbers to spine missing except for remnants. Internally light foxing to free endpapers and to border of frontis. Otherwise clean. tight and unmarked. Images available. These are heavy items. . Fair. Hardcover. 1828.
