A portfolio of expressionist linocuts by the German painter, Heinz Baden (1887-1954).
The linocut series was inspired by the German Meistersinger, Hans Sachs' (1494-1576) 1530 poem, Schlaraffenland. The portfolio contains nine, numbered linocut illustrations along with the text of the poem, printed mainly on a large, double-page plate, continuing with a short part on the last plate.
Extremely scarce, we could not trace any copies in institutional holding.
