The story of the 1957 expedition led by Dr. Vivian Fuchs which set out from Shackleton Base to cross 2500 miles of Antarctica. Blue coverboards with silver coloured lettering. Endpapers are maps of expedition. Dust jacket is NOT price-clipped. Some small chips/tears around edges of jacket and some pen marks on rear panel. Previous owner's name on rear of front free endpaper. Front free endpaper has dog-ear. Many black and white and colour photographic illustrations and several maps.
