The complete trilogy received the 'Special Award' from the Swedish Academy of Crime Writers in 2012, with the academy highlighting the trilogy's "hypnotically captivating psychoanalysis in crime fiction form."

ERIK AXL SUND is the pen name of Swedish author duo Jerker Eriksson (b. 1974) and Hkan Axlander Sundquist (b. 1965). Hkan is a sound engineer, musician and artist. Jerker has been the producer of Hkan's electropunk band i love you baby! and currently works as a librarian in a prison. Translated by Neil Smith. The author lives in Sweden.
