Black and white wrap-over paperback, good to very good with light general edgewear, more severe at corners including bumping and closed tears to spine tips; small mark to front beneath outermost flap. Binding sound. Small grease mark to fore-edge of the first page in front matter to have the full width of the textblock; pages else clean, text unmarked.

As with all Loujon Press productions, the book is marked by a whimsical style using multi-colored papers of varying stocks and even sizes. Loujon proprietors Jon and Louise "Gypsy Lou" Webb were important early supporters of Bukowski, especially in their short-lived periodical "The Outsider". This book, along with their earlier Bukowski title, It Catches My Heart in its Hands, helped put him on the map early in his career and bring him to the attention of a literary audience that has continued to grow.
