About This Item
Reinach was a French religious historian who here looks at a range of topics around mythology and cults. Chapters include:
animal totemism; theory of sacrifice; origin and essence of taboos; tarpeia; domestication of animals; origin of prayers for the dead; art and magic. A very nice copy. Pages are clean and bright with little sporadic foxing here and there. A school library sticker is affixed on internal front board, and a couple of numbers etc exist written on FEP (see photos). Boards are clean and binding tight. This is the first edition, of 1912. No DJ, presumably as issued. See photos all of which are of the copy for sale, we don't use stock photos
