About This Item
New York: William Pearson & Co, 1835. Scarce copy of the American one-volume edition. first printing. Good condition, leather over boards w/ribbed spine and gilt title on black panel, with marbled endpapers. Some foxing, but interior very good. DHB inscribed on second endpaper, "David H. Bishop, from his friend, Miss Cara E. Coffin, Nov. 26, 1904." Like many DHB books, this one comes from Miss Coffin and may have been her father's.
