[FULL TITLE READS] Curiosities of nature and art in husbandry and gardening : containing several new experiments in the improvement of land, trees, fruits, &c. : and also nice and useful observations relating to the vegetation and propagation of plants : with choice secrets to make plants, flowers and fruits larger, more beautiful, and to ripen earlier than usual : with several copper cuts. [Note this copy predates the French first edition and the author and translators names do not appear] Printed for D. Brown, at the Black Swan without Temple-Bar; A. Roper, at the Black Boy over aginst St. Dunstan's Church in Fleetstreet; and Fran. Coggan, in the Inner-Temple Lane. This copy collates with the copy in the Kew Collection namely 11plates bound-in plus the engraved frontis half-title. Bound in early half ninetenth century half calf with marbled boards including extra blank pages at the front and rear for notes. A short split to the front joint but a nice binding theretheless. 9pp of hand-written notes in ink include on the first part of the extra leaves by an unknown hand from that period.
