Hardback, 1911, fourth edition, published by Methuen & Co. Ltd., London, 340 pages and 30-page publisher catalogue at rear.
Measures around 7 3/4" by 5 1/4". Brown cloth binding, pictorial front board and spine, black lettering to front board, yellow detail and gilt lettering to front board and spine. Some discolouration, scuffing and a little marking. Some signs of shelf-wear, slight tears at top of spine, bumped and slightly torn corners of boards. Puckering to rear board. Binding reasonably firm, strained in the odd place, slight slackness to spine, split to inner rear hinger but holding. Page edges browned, foxed and scuffed, lower edges deckled. Light foxing and marking to page surfaces throughout but generally clean, a few pencil marks to rear pastedown but otherwise no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
