Description

McClelland and Stewart, 1981 and 1983. 1982 reprint and 1983 reprint. very good/good. The Dark Broad Seas is Volume 1 of RAdm Brock's memoirs "With many voices" and covers the period from 1939 to the end of the Korean War. The Thunder and the Sunshine (ISBN 0-7710-1625-5, 1982) breaks the silence of Brock's controversy with Hellyer in a most candid way, exposing the damage done by politicians to the Royal Canadian Navy. Both volumes are slightly later (1982, 1983) impressions of the 1st edition. Both dj's have small tears with no loss of material. Vol 1 has a gift inscription on f.e.p, vol 2 has damage to page 105 without any loss of text. Clean, tight copies of this most readable autobiographical work
