"One of London's famous Pea-soup fogs has descended over the embankment as Sandy Kinloch made his way toward the home of an old friend on an errand at irked his Highland pride.... [Ferguson's] latest story will appeal strongly to lovers of mystery tales - but it has a charm and power in the writing to a degree not usually found in this class of fiction." from the front flap.
