However, the downside was that the book was banned in her birth-town of Strichen, in Aberdeenshire where it was thought the character were too closely aligned to the inhabitants! The boards have scuffing, wear, marks. They are comfortable and steady. The contents are assured. The frontis and end pages have foxing and tanning from age.
