About This Item
Donald M. Grant, Publisher: USA, 1998. First edition thus (& 1st printing). Hardcover. The first three volumes of the Dark Tower series. The publisher had a large quantity of 1st editions of THE WASTELANDS on hand, and with the first two volumes out of print, Grant reprinted the first two volumes with new dustjackets and packaged them with volume 111 as a slipcased ''Gift Collection'' in time for Christmas 1989. THE GUNSLINGER is a 3rd printing (1998), THE WASTELANDS is a 2nd printing (1998) - but each with new/different dustjacket cover art by Michael Whelan and Phil Hale respectively - and THE DRAWING OF THE THREE is a 1st edition/1st printing (1987). 11.000 (unnumbered/unsigned) sets were issued in slipcase. THE FIRST VOLUME IS SIGNED BY ARTIST MICHAEL WHELAN (his signature added at a later date). Fine copies in fine dustjackets in slipcase (as new).
