About This Item

Stated First Edition/First Printing with the original first state dust jacket; A Near Fine book in a Very Good dust jacket. SIGNED and dated on a laid in typed card with a long message from King thanking the fan for their support and their interest in "The Gunslinger" and alerting them that "Christine" will be published shortly; a very unique piece of King ephemera associated with this rare book! Also included is a letter written to the previous bookseller authenticating the typed card and signature.
The book itself is in near fine condition with a tight binding, bright gold lettering over burgundy boards, beautiful illustrations by Michael Whalen, and o/w to white pages that show just a hint of foxing; some light rubbing and mild shelf wear are present, else fine. Housed in a clean and bright very good dust jacket that shows some moderate rubbing and chipping to the spine ends, edges, and corners, some mild creasing to the flap and fold edges, and one approximately 1" closed tear along the top of the front flap fold. Overall, a handsome and presentable copy of a book getting scarce in the marketplace in collectible condition; this copy greatly enhanced by the unique signed card typed by the master himself! A bucket list item for the King collector! Not remaindered, not price clipped, not ex-library; in a fresh Mylar cover and will ship carefully wrapped in a sturdy box.

The book was a good read not what I expected from King,(he is usually pretty unusual) but it was really good. I have purchased the whole set and are reading the others.
