New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1890. First American Edition. A good set.<br/> <br/> Account of Stanley's expedition to rescue Emin Pasha. The expedition "accomplished great things; it had made notable additions to African geography and ethnology.... Stanley called for the highest qualities of leadership" (--DNB).
