Glagow and London: Thomson D. Morrison and Simpkin, marshall, Hamilton, Kent & Co. , 1894. The full title reads : "Days of Deer-Stalking in the Scottish Highlands. Including an account of the nature and habits of the red deer, a description of the Scottish forests, and historical notes on the earlier field-sports of Scotland. With Highland legends, superstitions, traditions, folk-lore, and tales of poachers and freebooters. Red cloth with gilt lettering to the spine. 324 pages. Illustrated engraved title page, frontis. printed title page. 10 further engraved plates all by Edwin and Charles Landseer.6 X 9 inches. The book is a bit age darkened on the cloth at the edges, and on the spine, a little faded on the lower edges of the boards. Overall condition is very good. All quite sound and solid with sound hinges. Some offsetting to the free endpapers, pages all very clean throughout. W H Smiths blindstamped roundel to front free endpaper, original owner's name and date, 1904 to the head of the title page. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Sir Edwin and Charles Landseer.
