Later published as "The Cowboy and His Cow in the book One Life at a Time, Please, this facsimile typescript reproduces the original draft of a speech Ed Abbey delivered to the University of Montana in 1985. It is a scathing critique of the western "welfare rancher." Bound in Distressed three-quarter leather, reporter style with spine along the top. With an essay by Brooke Williams and art work by Dave Wilder. Printed by Chris Conrad Photography in Moab and bound by Roswell Bookbinding in Phoenix. Limited to 25 copies with 22 available to the public. This is copy # 7.

Leather rubbed extremities, a few scratches to cloth, faint circular stain front cover, about fine.. Introductory Essay by Brooke Williams. Manifesto and color plate by Dave Wilder. Published on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the opening of Back of Beyond Books, conceived shortly after the passing of Abbey in 1989, and eventually opening in 1990.
