Bradbury and Evans, 1848. First edition, Illustrations by H. K. Browne. Frontispiece, extra engraved title & plates, 8vo (8 1/2x 5 1/2 inches),624-pages. Contemporary half calf over marbled boards with lettering piece. Binding rubbed, splits to outer upper joint, upper inner hinge cracked. Plates very foxed, page 591/92 detached and chipped and browned on margins. Inscriptions on front fly. Bound without the half-title.
