Two poetry collections by Dorothy Parker. Death and Taxes is a first edition copy and contains the poems Prayer for a Prayer, Distance, Cherry White and others.Sunset Gun is a later edition with the first edition published by Horace Liveright in 1928. Some of the poems which appear in this volume include Godmother, Partial Comfort, Victoria and The Counsellor.  Dorothy Parker was an American poet, writer, critic and satirist based in New York. Her work is remembered for its wit. Both are in the original cloth binding. Externally, smart with some light marks to the boards. Some light bumping to the head and tails of the spines. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
