Exquisitely printed by Martino Mardersteig's shop in an edition of 1000, with an expressive mix of italics, large & small capitals, and tinted areas representing parts of the text not clearly in Boccaccio's hand. Large hardcover, full tan cloth blocked in red, gilt titling. Table of special signs laid in. Light wear to book, spine shows light foxing, minor crease/dent; no jacket as issued; in a plain cardstock slipcase with some scuffs, wear, short tears. Text clean; xvi, [666] pages + colophon; introductory essay in English by Singleton; appendixes in Italian by Franca Petrucci Nardelli, Armando Petrucci, and Giancarlo Savino; three folding plates (two in color) showing a page of the manuscript, the typographic representation thereof, and drawings of characters, possibly also by Boccaccio..
