Blue cloth boards and spine with bright white lettering on the spine and front board. 147 pp 4to. There have been many books on Wedgwood and his ware. The author has broken new ground by writing a study of his decorative production as it relates to the taste of the times in the applied arts. She describes the whole range of his output in the field of interior decoration from the basalt figures and wall plaques to the more esoteric fonts and funeral urns and shows that jasper plaques were inset in furniture by both French and English cabinetmakers. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
