[first 1867]. 19th century travel guide penned by a manager of the Kittatinny House resort hotel, during its heyday. It was under L.W. Brodhead's care that the resort expanded to accommodate 250 guests from the original 25. At the time of publishing, there were about a half dozen resort hotels to which the affluent from New York and Philadelphia could retreat for the season.
