Both volumes with one leaf of ads in rear. With hand-colored fold-out map in volume 2. Small tape repair to map. CC consignment. Shelved in Case 3. Translation of de Tocqueville's 'De la d'émocratie en Amérique.' This Edition is both the First English Language Edition and the First British Edition. It was first published in French in Paris earlier in 1835, though it would not be published in America until 1838.
