'06 / For Robert Malott, / With appreciation and / good wishes. / Walter Berns." Berns (1919-2015) was a renowned Georgetown University political philosophy and American constitutional law scholar. Robert Malott (1926-2018) was a noted Chicago business leader, CEO of FMC Corporation, Republican politico and philanthropist.
