W. Jennings Demorest, New York, [circa 1860]. Good. 2 5/16 x 1 7/8 inches, [128] pages, gold-embossed lilac wraps, all edges gilt, wear to edges and tips, Not included in pagination are the book's three frontispieces: portrait of Vienna Demorest, color-printed plate of roses, and double portrait (probably Vienna and W. Jennings). A potpourri of information, poetry, pictures, et cetera. Spielmann 116. Welsh 2264, dating the volume to the 1870s. However, another copy of this edition described by this cataloguer some years ago bore a penciled inscription with initials and the date 1860.
