Jonathan Cape, 1926. Signed Limited Edition. Hardcover. VG+. 1st Limited Edition.13.5 x19.5 cm green cloth with gilt stamped titles to the spine and publisher's device blind stamped to the rear. Top edge gilt, other edges uncut, 252[2]pp with woodcuts by Eric Ravilious throughout. The book was produced in a limited edition of 100 which were signed by the author. This is an unnumbered, signed, presentation copy. Some toning to the spine and and the edges of the rear board. There is a little shelf wear and a hint of pushing to the bottom corners. Internally there is uniform toning to both free endpapers but otherwise the book is very clean with only very light dust making to the uncut edges. All in all a good looking signed copy of with the additional attraction of being Eric Ravilious' first foray into book illustration.
