Geishudo, Japan, 1907. Early Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. FURUYA KORIN. Design book, Japan: Yamada Geishudo, 1907. Oblong octavo about 10x7 inches, unpaginated with 13 woodblock-printed leaves separated by parchment, 4 images per leaf for a total of 52, cardboard covers, front cover with paper label attached. Artistic themes include leaves and trees, water, Mount Fuji, and others, with some abstraction. Wikipedia: "Furuya Korin was a Japanese artist, illustrator, and designer active in the Kyoto arts and crafts circle in the Meiji period of the late 19th and early 20th centuries." His paintings are held in museums around the world. Condition of this book: Cover label peeling from edges with corner piece missing. Light age toning inside, prints fine. Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text is in Japanese. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact.
