Paris: Chez l'Auteur, 1816. xxxvii, 407 pages. Signed by the author on reverse of title. Bound in attractive quarter calf with matching marbled boards, marbled endpapers and marbled edges. 20.5x13cms. Quilliet was an art agent and intermediary who established himself in Cadiz in 1797. Despite being opposed to the French intervention it did not prevent him becoming the agent of Joseph Bonaparte. When Godoy, who collected over 1000 works of art between 1792 and 1808, fell from power it was Quillet who produced the inventory. Text in French.
