About This Item

New York, NY Baen, 1989. Mass Market Paperback First Ed; First Printing, so stated. First Ed; First Printing, so stated. Very Good in Wraps: shows indications of light use: slight spine lean; just a touch of wear to extremities; mild rubbing; a few faint creases at backstrip; binding secure; text clean. No longer 'As New', but remains clean, sturdy, presentable. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 12mo. 393pp. Mass Market Paperback. The first part of the Sword of Knowledge trilogy is the best one. A vivid descripition of the fall of an empire and the flight of a couple of scientists with a powerful secret. The author does a great job of describing the people in the book, the background world, providing just enough information to to fire your imagination. The reader feels for the people in this story. One feels their frustrations, their joys, their anger, and everything else their situation brings them. An excellent book. One to read many times over.
